Our Services

At the Eye Care Institute in Sonoma County, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional eye care to help you maintain and improve your vision. Our team of eye specialists combines years of experience, advanced technology, and compassion to address a wide variety of eye conditions.

Whether you need routine eye screening or have been diagnosed with cataracts, we can help. Our skilled ophthalmologists use only the latest ophthalmologic technology to create a personalized vision plan.

A cataract is a cloudiness of the lens inside your eye. It develops as a normal part of the aging process, usually beginning in your fifties and slowly progresses with time.

Glaucoma is a progressive eye condition that causes vision loss if it’s not treated. Our eye care professionals have the expertise to diagnose and treat glaucoma. Through advanced imaging and comprehensive eye exams, our main focus is to maintain your eye pressure and preserve your vision. We also understand how valuable proper education about eye health is, and take the necessary steps to answer all of your questions while discussing all of the potential treatment options.

For patients who have suffered a corneal injury, we also specialize in corneal implants. At the Eye Center Institute, we use state-of-the-art corneal implantation techniques and prostheses. Our highly-skilled ophthalmologists will perform an in-depth eye examination and provide you with expert recommendations about your condition. If found to be a suitable candidate, our advanced corneal implant options can help restore your vision.

Laser vision correction has dramatically evolved in the last fifteen years. The procedure was limited to only treating nearsightedness when it was first performed in the United States. Today, we are able to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism with laser vision correction.

Routine eye exams are the key to maintaining visual acuity. Our comprehensive eye exams evaluate your eye health, test for visual disturbances, and identify any potential issues that could negatively affect your vision. With our attention to detail and personalized care, we make sure your eyes get the care they deserve. We will look for changes in intraocular pressure, refractory errors and test your visual acuity.

For more than a century, contact lenses have been a safe and effective alternative to glasses for those who require correction for their reading or distance vision. Contacts are worn by over 40 million people with vision problems

We also offer an in-house optical shop where you can get your eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions filled. We carry over 900 different frames to choose from, and if you can’t decide which looks best, we can help you with that, too. Using our computerized mirrors, you can try on different frames to see which ones look the best.

If you’re suffering from dry eyes, our eye specialists can help. While it’s not uncommon to have itchy eyes now and again, ongoing itchiness or feeling of dry eyes isn’t. Chronic dry eyes are often the result of medication changes, hormone imbalance, or possibly due to an underlying medical condition. We offer a wide range of therapeutic treatment options that restore your eyes’ natural moisture balance.
