"I had just turned 75 this August and had gone to my optometrist to have my prescription reviewed when Dr. Wong informed me that I had cataract development. After researching, I became convinced that lens technology had reached a point that I did not want to wait a minute longer to have my own vision rejuvenated by the procedure. Through further research, I was referred to Dr. Barth of the Eye Care Institute in Santa Rosa, CA.
Much to my amazement, in a matter of ten days, I had the procedure done on both eyes. Each operation took approximately one hour with less pain than I experience at an ordinary teeth cleaning. One day following each operation, I was driving myself back to the clinic for post-operative exams with no difficulty in my vision.
The lenses Dr. Barth selected for my eyes had resulted in complete restoration of my vision. I can now see long and intermediate distances and read the Wall Street Journal, in particular, without glasses!! This, after wearing glasses for 18 hours a day for thirty-one years. Equally exciting as throwing my glasses away is the new world of seeing colo rs as I did as a teenager! Shades were lighter, brighter, and crisper--much to my enjoyment.
My final revelation of new vision came during the evening with my night vision completely restored!! This enables me to take long road trips again without concern for timing around daylight hours.
