LATISSE®
What Is LATISSE®?
LATISSE® is the only FDA-approved treatment that produces increased length, thickness, and darkness of eyelashes. LATISSE® is actually the very same medication that has been used by many of our glaucoma patients for nearly a decade. To grow lashes, LATISSE® is applied once nightly directly to the base of the lashes using supplied sterile applicator brushes. Most patients notice more lushness and lengthening of their lashes within 1 to 2 months of nightly use, with the maximum effect seen after 4 months. Should LATISSE® be discontinued, this effect will eventually wear off.
How Effective is LATISSE®?
Our patients and ECI staff who have used LATISSE® have been very impressed with the results. After several months of use, patients can often maintain their lush lash effect with only every-other-day application. Some of our patients even report positive effects by using LATISSE® on their eyebrows.

What are the Possible Side Effects of LATISSE®?
Possible side effects of LATISSE® include mild ocular irritation or slight darkening of the eyelid skin, which occurs in less than 4% of patients.
