Professional Focus:
Glaucoma tends to be a chronic problem, managed over a long period of time. One of the reasons I enjoy the glaucoma part of my practice is the opportunity to really get to know my patients as their lives change over many years.
Personal Interests:
My immediate family is the center of my life outside medicine. My wife is a teacher and business owner of Tone, a fitness studio in Santa Rosa. Our children are 30, 27, and 24. The oldest is a wine maker, the second an actress, and the youngest is a third-grade teacher.
An interesting thing about me: I was an acrobat and trampolinist as a child. I was a national champion high school gymnast, and an All-American at Stanford. I got to travel far and wide with my friends as a young athlete, had a lot of fun, and made many great memories.
